The Top Five Finalists Are Announced
in Spreading Smucker’s® Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest
Americans Can Vote for Their Favorite Family Recipe and Help Send a Family on a
Trip to Walt Disney World® Resort
ORRVILLE, OH, (November 13, 2009) – Today, The J.M. Smucker Company, the makers of Smucker's® jams, jellies and preserves, is pleased to announce the top five finalists in the second annual “Spreading Smucker's Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest.” With the help of your vote, one of these finalists will win a five day, four night family trip for eight to the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida.
To enter the contest, contestants were asked to share an original family recipe that has been passed down for at least two generations. Consumers from all over the country submitted their favorite family recipes incorporating at least ΒΌ cup of Smucker's jams, jellies, preserves or fruit butter. Entrants also shared the family history behind their recipes and how they continue to make family celebrations special. This year, the top five finalists are:

Consumers can now visit www.smuckers.com to vote for their favorite recipe. Each of the contest finalists featured in the online vote will receive a gift basket of Smucker's brand products and the Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for eight to the Walt Disney World Resort.

The online vote will be available on www.smuckers.com until Friday, December 18, 2009. The finalist with the highest combined point total from the preliminary judging and online vote will receive a five day, four night family trip for eight to the Walt Disney World Resort. The Grand Prize family package for eight includes airfare, hotel accommodations for four nights at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, round trip ground transportation between Orlando International Airport and the Walt Disney World Resort hotel, five-day Magic Your Way Tickets with Park Hopper® option and commemorative T-shirts and photos.
